Health
Beauceron is a strong and healthy breed with few breed-specific issues. Hip dysplasia is the most common disease on the beauceron and it looks like it has medium to large prevalence (it depends on the lines and it's hard to know the sure statistics since a lot of dogs don't get x-rayed and not all results is registrated). Anyway, my impression is that dysplasia is not a big problem on a healthy constructed beauceron, they are usually functionally healthy dogs even if they got dysplasia. And they can live a long, active and good life without any sign of the dysplasia.

Elbow dysplasia has also been seen on some beaucerons, but not a lot of beaucerons get x-rayed on the elbows and the prevalence is difficult to say, but it doesn’t seem to be a big problem in the breed. Anyway, this diseases are something to have in mind when it comes to breeding and breeders should only use functionally healthy dogs in breeding and as a rule use dysplasia free dogs and only continue to use the dogs that gives (large percent of) healthy puppies. Read more about hip and elbow dysplasia in the link below.

Other then this there is no more breed-specific issues that I know about in this breed at the moment (but I will inform you as soon as I know anything new!).

Beauceron is a strong and healthy breed that lives a long life,
12-15 years are not unusual.
